African newspaper collection
The African newspaper collection consists of newspapers published in various African countries, as well as newspapers about Africa published internationally. The newspapers here represent over fifty years of journalistic publications produced on and about the African continent. The newspapers are singular or short runs of typically less than 3-5 issues of titles that were not subscribed to for longer runs.

Jesus "Chuy" Garcia for Chicago Mayor campaign collection
The Jesus "Chuy" Garcia for Chicago mayor campaign collection contains of materials documenting Garcia’s broad appeal to the Chicago community. Included are yard signs, posters, campaign buttons, flyers and miscellaneous print material as well as issues from The Reader, The Austin Voice and The Chicago Tribune.
Larry Tate papers
The Larry Tate papers contain clippings on MSU Student activism and "The Paper," Tate family photographs, published writings, numerous journals written by Tate while living within the Gay community of San Francisco, California, and eulogies by Tate's friends.
Muigwithania collection
Photocopies of Gikuyu language newspaper ("The Reconciler," "Unifier," or "Newsbearer" in English) associated with the Kikuyu Central Association and its secretary, Jomo Kenyatta, who was at times (he was in London in 1929) editor of the newspaper, together with English translations of most issues made for the use of the British colonial administration, and occasional correspondence or annotations regarding Muigwithania.
